- Use the forum search: Look up your project type, city, or state to find past threads about local contractors, repair experiences, and pricing.
- Read cost guides first: Check our cost and repair guides so you have a rough idea of pricing, scope, and common upsells before you start calling around.
- Use the call buttons on service pages: Some service pages include a Pay-Per-Call option that can connect you with a contractor today, depending on your area and the job type.

We are building out a contractor directory for House Talk, with public listings planned for launch in Q2 2026. If you want to get in early, this is a good time to raise your hand.
